Cheez Crackers

I have always adored cheese and crackers so I came up with these delicious Cheez Crackers! All kinds of crackers were my friend, depending on the cheese it was partnering with, however, one of my favorite snacking crackers were Cheez-its! Oh yeah baby, I could eat me some Cheez-its and even wrote a separate blog about them when I first started this clean eating journey:) These Cheez Crackers are a staple in my house today. Paired with pickles it is like eating cheese and crackers, added to a salad, or topped with tuna salad. I think my love for them came from party food, I have always been a grazer, not a heavy eater so snack foods always have had my heart….probably always will. These Cheez Crackers whip up in minutes and will have your friends asking for the recipe!

Cheez Crackers

Ingredients

1/2 cup Raw Walnuts

1/4 cup Raw Pecans

1/4 cup Raw Sunflower Seeds

5 Tbls Nutritional Yeast

1 Tbls Coconut Oil

1 Egg ( could sub flax seed and water to make vegan)

1/4/ tsp salt

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp garlic powder

How To

Heat oven to 350

Add the nuts, yeast, and seasonings to a blender cup and run until all ground up. Don’t go too long or the oils in the nuts will start to turn to butter. Place in a bowl and add the oil and beaten egg, mix well.

Next place the dough on a piece of parchment paper, fold the paper in half. Thin making creases along all 4 edges, this will give you all straight edges for your Cheese Crackers:)

Once you get your crackers all rolled out and cut, transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 mins. Remove from oven, cool and break apart. Note, they crisp up as they cool!

Serve with sliced pickles and fruit, your new favorite snack!

Next just roll the dough out evenly making sure to make a nice rectangle like so

Then freehand little cracker size bites with a pizza cutter

Transfer entire paper to a baking sheet and pop in the oven and bake for 15-20 mins

Remove from oven, let cool and break apart

Enjoy with sliced pickles and berries for the best snack ever:)
