Grocery List

My Standard Grocery Lists

I have shopped around for the last four years trying to figure out the best places to source things in my town without spending all my time running around. I have finally settled on Whole Foods Market for the majority of my weekly shopping. I have found when buying almost all produce they are the best price…shocking, I know. So, this is a standard list of things I pick up weekly if out. Understand that it does not include some things I pick up here and there to try or one-offs. This is truly stuff I like to keep on hand to create my eats. This is also based on a keto diet, which I do not stay on all year round. In a nut shell you change your energy source from glucose to fat. I did begin with the keto lifestyle because I was so sick, and believe this is the quickest way to reduce inflammation in the body. Eliminating all sugar and eating tons of good fats is the key, so things like sweet potatoes, carrots, apples are all a no no. Now, having said that, I do eat these items now and again and you will see them on my Facebook and Instagram page eats! Key for me, and should be for everyone, LISTEN to YOUR body, it will ask you for what it needs once it is cleaned up.

Tip #1 – I suggest sticking to the outside of the aisles, although there are a few items I grab in the aisles

Tip #2 – Buy as much Organic and Local as possible

Tip #3 – Check out the Clean 15 – Dirty dozen list to save money

My kids have moved out so now I feed my hubby and myself = I spend an average of $250/week, usually splitting that into two trips to keep thing fresh and rotating

I hit Costco once every month or two, maybe.
