Great dairy-free alternative topping for traditional parmesan cheese. Does it taste like parmesan? No, do not go into it thinking it will. Go into it knowing it does add a cheesy flavor (that’s the nutritional yeast) and a nice saltiness. I love cheese and I have learned to love this as well!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 cup raw walnuts
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt
Optional: dash of garlic and or 1/4 cup hemp seeds
Simply combine the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until the mixture resembles parmesan cheese.
Store in a glass container in the fridge. Great for topping veggies, pizza, sauces or anything else you wish!
