The BEST Turkey Burger

Let me just say I was never a fan of Turkey Burgers until I created this recipe! The BEST Turkey burger you will ever eat, well, I hope it will be. Packed with zucchini but I promise you will never taste it. I am so excited to share these delicious burgers with you guys as I think they will quickly become a summer staple. Packed with fresh mint and lime they are so festive and light. Don’t skip making the avocado topping, its the perfect compliment. Pair this meal with my Celery & Cucumber Salad for a great meal!

The BEST Turkey Burger

Ingredients

1 lb ground Turkey

1 medium zuchini

1/3 cup chopped fresh mint

3 tsp fresh lime juice

S&P

Pinch dried chili flakes

Coconut oil to cook burgers in

Avocado Sauce

ingredients

1 Avocado

2 tbls clean mayo

1/2 lime juiced

S&P

How To

Run your zucchini through a chopper or shredder. You will need to squeeze out the excess liquid by handfuls, placing in a separate bowl then. Once completed, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Form into burgers, I made 5 out of this amount at about an inch or so thick.

Heat your iron skillet over medium high heat with about 1 Tbls coconut Oil, then place your burgers in and brown on each side. Next place a cover on for a few minutes to get them cooked through. Take cover off, make sure they are browned on both sides and remove.

I plated here over a mix of baby greens, with the Avocado Sauce, sides of sweet potato fries. fermented veggies, mushrooms, tomatoes, my Celery & Cucumber Salad and green onions.

TIPS: Omit sweet potato if eating keto. You could easily grill these burgers too! Or serve in a leafy green wrap with red onion slices, tomato and the Avocado Sauce. Add in a pickle and call it a day:)

ENJOY!
