The PERFECT Soft Boiled Egg
easy enough right? Well, it took me years to perfect the perfect soft boiled egg and I’m ready to share it with you! It was like some big secret I had to discover for myself. I have tested many recipes including, steamer baskets, timers, lids, no lids, simmering, plunging, ice baths….ugh….I simplified the whole damn process, because thats what I do.
Can you believe I hated eggs growing up? It literally wasn’t until I started eating real food 4 years ago that I started enjoying them. Soft boiled is by far my favorite, next to crispy edged over easy. I literally will put on anything from toast, to soup, to salad, to eating with a spoon. Gotta be made right though and of course best when eaten warm:)
All you need
Saucepan
Water
Pasture raised eggs
Stove
Add a few inches of water to saucepan, enough to cover eggs when you add them.
Bring water to a boil.
Add your eggs carefully so not to crack.
Set timer for 6 mins and 30 secs.
When timer goes off immediately remove from stove and dump water out, and then run cold water over them for several minutes to stop them from cooking.
Eat one while warm because its the BEST!!
