Homemade Raw Almond Milk

This simple homemade raw Almond Milk is creamy and delicious! Ever notice how much crap is in the store bought almond milks? this one is clean and perfect for smoothies, coffee, baking and drinking straight up. You can add raw cacao and or dates to make chocolate milk or berries to make berry flavored milk. This is by no means my original recipe, its just one I have adapted after testing several. I keep things simple ya know. I do suggest getting a nut bag, only a few dollars.

Homemade Raw Almond Milk

ingredients

*makes a quart..ish

1 cup raw almonds soaked overnight in filtered water (I use the Berkey filter system)

3 cups filtered water

pinch pink himalayan sea salt

1 tsp vanilla or beans from 1 vanilla bean

How To

Add your drained and rinsed almonds, salt and water to a high speed blender. Run for a good 2 mins or longer to make sure you are getting the most outa  your almonds!

Next pour through your nut bag over a bowl and squeeze until all the liquid has been pushed through.

Pour your almond milk into a glass jar. Store in fridge up to 3 days, I love it fresh, but not always happening.

DON’T throw out the pulp! I mix mine with unsweetened coconut shreds, cinnamon, salt and a tad of maple syrup, lay out on parchment paper in a thin layer. Toast in a 375 oven for a few, stirring every few minutes until toasty brown. Watch closely, it will burn fast! Use as smoothie or ice cream topper.

ENJOY!!!!
